Join us on Thursday, December 7, for a luncheon with Dr. Martin Nalls, head of school at I3 Academy. Dr. Nalls received his master’s degree in Secondary Education at the University of Montevallo, and his Ed.S. in Education Leadership, and Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB).
As a leader in education, Dr. Nalls has served on several state boards and task forces, including Alabama Association of Secondary School Principals, Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools, Alabama ACT Council, Alabama Association of Middle School Principals. Out of his twenty years in public education, his role as head of school for i3 Academy has been the most rewarding. i3 Academy, a tuition-free public charter school network serving students in kindergarten through eighth grade, opened in 2020 with 420 students and continues to grow as grade levels are added each year. The mission of i3 Academy is to empower learners to become agents of change who solve the problems they see in their world. This is the driving force for Dr. Nalls as he leads his team of top-notch teachers and administrators in offering a world-class educational experience for students in the Woodlawn area and beyond.
