Luncheon with Bo Jackson

Bo Jackson, born in Bessemer, AL, is an American athlete who played in both the NFL and MLB. Recruited by the New York Yankees in high school, Jackson instead entered Auburn University, where he led his football team to a Sugar Bowl victory and also qualified for the U.S. Olympic track and field team. He joined MLB in 1986 and later joined the NFL and the L.A. Raiders in 1991, where he played for four years. Bo Jackson created Bo Bikes Bama, an annual charity bike ride that raises money for the Governor’s Emergency Relief Fund, which provides crucial disaster preparedness and emergency management resources for the state of Alabama.
