Virtual Luncheon with Isabel Scarinci
Dr. Isabel Scarinci has Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from Louisiana State University and a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The focus of her work is on the application of behavioral science to public health by promoting behavior change at the population level. In addition to her work responsibilities, she is very committed to community service and has worked on a15-year program to promote breast and cervical cancer screening among Latina immigrants in Alabama that rely 100% on the work of committed volunteers – Sowing the Seeds of Health. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Birmingham, Alabama where she has served as VP for International Service and currently serves as the Youth Exchange Officer for District 6860. She got involved in Rotary at the age 18 as a member of the Rotaract Club Londrina North in Brazil. She held a number of leadership positions within Rotaract and was actively involved in polio vaccinations.
