Each year, the Rotaract Club of Birmingham hosts the Foundation Ball, our annual fundraising gala—and the city’s premier event for young professionals. It’s an unforgettable night that supports our club’s signature service projects and brings the community together in style. This black-tie event is open to guests 21 and older and features live music, delicious food, an open bar, exciting raffles, and more.

Sip N Spell

​

​Our second signature fundraiser, started in 2024 after being presented to our Board of Directors from our Leadership Development Program. Sip N Spell is a lively adult spelling bee featuring energetic emcees, spirited competition, and the ultimate prize—a trophy and year-long bragging rights.

All proceeds from the events go to sponsor Rotaract’s two main signature service projects:
Ready2Succeed, a mentorship program designed to prepare Parker High School students for success beyond the classroom. Through Rotaract-led workshops and one-on-one mentorship, the program equips students with critical career and life skills, empowering them to confidently pursue their academic and professional goals.

Ready2Read, a reading comprehension initiative dedicated to fostering early childhood literacy among second and third graders at Hemphill Elementary, i3 Academy, and Minor Elementary. Through Rotaract-led story times, book donations, and interactive learning activities, the program cultivates strong reading skills and a lifelong love of reading in curious and eager young minds.​​
